Workshops

Deep dives into the topics that matter most in recovery — led by members, for members.

Workshop

Sponsorship in AA

Sponsorship is one of the most powerful tools in the AA programme — and one of the most misunderstood. This workshop explores what sponsorship really means, both as an individual relationship and as a responsibility of the group as a whole.

"An alcoholic who has made some progress in the recovery program shares that experience on a continuous, individual basis with another alcoholic who is attempting to attain or maintain sobriety through A.A."

— Q&A on Sponsorship, p.7

When does sponsorship start? According to AA's own literature, it starts immediately — from the moment someone walks through the door. Sponsorship is both a personal relationship and a group responsibility.

Each week covers one chapter of the Big Book. Click a week to see the reading and assignment details.

"If you take the action… you get the result."

— Big Book Study
